Meet Grafton's Discovery Service, GLDYS

Grafton Library Discovery Service (GLDYS)

GLDYS is the library's main search. 

Use GLDYS to find:

  • Books (print and e-books)
  • DVDs and streaming video
  • Microfilm/ Microfiche
  • Journal Articles

If Grafton doesn't have what you need, you can use GLDYS to search for books and journal articles at other libraries and request them through Interlibrary Loan.

GLDYS is the easiest way to find books for your research.

Learning More About an Item

GLDYS will show you a summary, the availability of the item, and the call number by default. 

There are several different collections at Grafton Library, tell you where the item can be found:

  • Grafton STACKS - These are part of the main collection and can be checked out. 
  • POPULAR READING - These items are on the main floor of the library, near the stained glass window
  • REFERENCE - These are located near the computers on the main floor of Grafton. They cannot be checked out.
  • DVD STACKS - DVDs are shelved next to the popular reading.

If you have a question about an item, just ask at the main desk!

Call Numbers are an item's "address;" tell you where you can find the item in Grafton Library. 

Status indicates whether the book is currently available. Create a library account to place a hold for contactless pickup!. 

Click on the title of an item to get more information, including:

  • A Chapter List
  • Subjects
  • Nearby items on the shelf (Library Materials are grouped by subject, so you may find useful materials that you didn't expect by browsing the nearby books!)
