About Grafton Library

  • Named for former dean of the college, Martha Stackhouse Grafton

  • Built in 1967; interior updated in 1999; Center for Student Success opened in 2017

  • Grafton Library has approximately 90,000 volumes in the collection, almost 850,000 e-books and provides access to over 80,000 e-journals through online databases.

  • The circulating collection is on the main (second) and mezzanine (third) floors. 

  • The collection is accessed by an online catalog system called GLDYS, Grafton Library Discovery Service.

The Martha S. Grafton Library of Mary Baldwin University fosters student success, scholarly research, and academic excellence by providing diverse information resources, learner-centered services and experiences, and welcoming, technology-enhanced spaces that facilitate lifelong learning, collaboration, and innovation.
