Business: Getting Started

A guide to resources for business research.

Using Subject Terms

Almost all books in the catalog have subject terms.  These terms tell you what the book is about - more so than just looking at the title.  If you've found a helpful book that covers the topic you need, do a new search with the subject terms attributed to it and you'll find more relevant resources.  For any topic you want to research, there is an appropriate subject term that combines elements such as the concept(s), source types, and geographic location.

Examples:

Industrial management

Business & Economics - Time Management

Marketing - Research

Labor - United States - Statistics
