New York Times Help: Creating an Account

This guide provides help for those having trouble creating or accessing their New York Times subscription

Welcome! Having trouble creating an account for New York Times online? This guide will give you more details about how to create an account which will allow you to access the NY Times from anywhere. 

*You will need to re-register every year. Go to https://libguides.marybaldwin.edu/nytimes and log in where it says "Already have an account". This will re-authenticate your account with the NYTimes.

Creating an account

If you are trying to register from off-campus, you will need to login through the proxy first, using your username (you email address without the @marybaldwin.edu) and password:


 

Once you have logged into the proxy, you should see the following page, and will need to select "Create Account": 

 

You will now have the option of creating an account. Do NOT create an account using Google or Facebook. You must create a separate account using your MBU email address:

 

You should now be registered, and you will receive a confirmation email. 

You will need to re-register every year.
