Grafton has two Kindles available for 14-day loans to Mary Baldwin students, faculty, and staff with valid Mary Baldwin ID.  Library patrons must also sign Grafton's Electronic Devices Loan Agreement form. Kindle book selections include popular fiction and non-fiction titles, both newly published works and classics.

Kindle Check out and Return

To check out a Kindle, please ask at the Circulation Desk. Return the Kindle and all accessories (Kindle, hard case, charger, soft case) to the Circulation Desk where you checked it out. Do not return a Kindle via the book drop. Return to staff at the front desk.

Our Kindles and the books can be found in GLDYS. Follow the link below (Grafton's Kindles) and click on Description to see a complete list of included titles. The Kindle's record in GLDYS will also show you if our Kindles are available for checkout. Looking for a specific title? Use Cntrl+F to search the page. Ask at the Circulation Desk to check out a Kindle.

Anything saved or added to the Kindle by patrons will be deleted when they are returned.

Kindle Fees

Late fines for overdue Kindles are $2 per day. If a Kindle is not returned by its due date, the patron will not be able to to check out any materials from Grafton Library until the Kindle has been returned or the replacement costs have been paid.

If a Kindle or Kindle accessory is lost, missing, or damaged, fines will be charged up to the replacement costs of $100. If a lost Kindle is returned in good condition, the cost for replacing the Kindle may be forgiven.
